MORE TO EXPLORE

Southwest Florida fishing beyond the big three.

Tarpon, snook and redfish headline many trips, but the region’s inshore and nearshore waters hold a much wider variety of fish. Which species are realistic targets depends on the season, conditions and the charter you arrange.

Trout & inshore variety

Spotted seatrout, jack crevalle, ladyfish, pompano and other inshore species add variety to light-tackle fishing around the bays and flats.

Seasonal opportunities

Tripletail, cobia and permit are among the seasonal possibilities described in Capt. Andy’s fishing information. Ask what fits the time of year you plan to visit.

Nearshore fishing

Southwest Florida also offers opportunities for mackerel, kingfish, snapper and grouper. Ask the captain which species and trips are suitable for your dates.

Tell us what you want to catch.

Capt. Andy can explain which opportunities fit your dates. Species descriptions are a planning guide, not a promise that every fish will be available on every charter.
