ISLAND PASSES & PINE ISLAND SOUND

Fish the waters behind and around the islands.

Sanibel and Captiva lie alongside Pine Island Sound, connecting island visitors with flats, backcountry bays and pass fishing. Capt. Andy Boyette serves this area as part of his private Southwest Florida charter service.

Snook, redfish and the island passes

The island waters offer snook and redfish around Captiva Pass and Redfish Pass, together with the flats and bays of Pine Island. Trout are another option in the sound. The fishing plan takes account of the season and current conditions.

Tarpon along the coast

Early summer can bring tarpon moving along the Fort Myers Beach area toward Boca Grande. If tarpon are your priority, discuss a dedicated trip with Capt. Andy rather than assuming an inshore charter follows the same route.

Private charter options

Choose a 6-hour AM or PM trip, an 8-hour trip or a 10-hour trip. Rates are $200 per hour for 1–3 anglers, with a fourth angler an additional $200 per trip. Maximum four anglers per boat.

Bait, tackle and the charter fishing license are included. See full rates and inclusions or prepare for your fishing day.
